Nathan Johnson: After the first day of a tough wrestling workout I felt pretty terrible coming home. I had a short temper and wanted to lie down and sleep. I started my day off with two peanut butter toasts, a banana, and a glass of water. For lunch I had a peanut butter a jelly sandwich, apples, pears, and an apple juice. I finished the day with some corn, quinoa, peas, two potatoes, and some broccoli. After day one my mentality is destroyed the lack of animal nutrients has really gotten to me. My mouth craves ripping apart animal flesh but I decided to keep pushing. My stomach and mind are being pushed, I need to increase my calorie intake, it is the only way I can healthily cope with this for another 29 days.
Daniel: The first day is always the hardest. It’s just like the first day of working out, you will wake up the next day sore, except in our case we are craving meat every 1 to 2 hours. For Breakfast I had a large quantity of oatmeal and two pieces of peanut butter toast, and for lunch I had a delicious pack of peanut butter crackers, and last but not least I had large amount of delightful squash and two plain baked potatoes. Now it is obvious I did not get the adequate amount of calories and protein, so therefore I was in a bad mood after football practice and for the rest of the night. But i’m a big boy and I will find a way to get a high protein diet. I’m strong and I will not back down i’m packed up and ready for this journey!! Vegan fo 30 days.
